With great skill and care, he stalked his prey. Through the darkest shadows, over flagstones and under sconces, he followed the tiny pattering footsteps, creeping ever closer, closer, stopping whenever the sound ahead paused. His feet trod so gently, not disturbing even a whisper of dust as he slowly, oh so slowly, gained upon his target. He would not fail. He never did. The corridors of Hogwarts would not cope were he to miss his mark. He feared only one thing - disappointing those in charge. And that, he would never do.
And then …
He pounced! The timing was perfect. The finale, though brutal, took but a second. His was the victory. No more would the sneaking little … enough gloating. The night was not yet done.

Fun fact: earlier this week, my friends' cat just brought its latest "gift" to their 5-month-old baby while he was playing on the floor on his little baby play mat. No one was pleased. XD
