((Done with Derpy Dipsy-mun's permission.))

The pony-sized unicorn who appeared in the Sorting Room gasped in dismay upon seeing her new surroundings. These walls, the table, the floor... "Oh no no no no, this won't do at all!" The interior decorating was a far cry from that of her native Equestria, where the buildings were as much confectionery ( Read more... )

Fresh from his Hat Shore crib, Beowulf bore dazzling bling that he felt he should show to this dazzling pony. He opened his robe to reveal his Bedazzled leather thong-pants.

"I HAVE NEW INTEREST IN ADORNMENTS," he said proudly.

She winced at the still very loud volume, but beamed. "In that case, you've come to the right pony!"

Rarity examined the rather simplistic garment, frowning. "Those aren't real gemstones, are they?" She shook her head sadly. "No, that will never do. Never use a cheap imitation when you can have the real thing, dear! For you, I'd say... citrine! And... hm, are you absolutely set on leather?"

Beowulf got confused. It probably said something about Beowulf that, in a conversation with a talking purple-haired pony on the subject of fashion, the most confusing thing was that someone should question his penchant for leather.

No one had ever asked him whether he liked wearing leather before. He had never thought about it, himself. He just wore it.

"I AM OPEN TO NEW EXPERIENCES," he said finally. It was true. Just look at his fling with Tarvuism.

Rarity blew out a sigh of relief. Leather was not one of her preferred materials. She liked soft fabrics that could be dyed bright colors, not... ick.

"How about cashmere?" she asked hopefully. "Perhaps in that same shade of chocolate brown. It does seem to suit your coloration very well. And perhaps some gold jewelry!"

"YES! I WOULD GLADLY BEDECK MYSELF IN SUCH FINERY," said Beowulf, even though he did not know what cashmere was. It did not trouble him to wear things he did not understand. "I SHALL VOTE YOU INTO MY HOUSE, THE HOUSE OF GRYFFINDOR!"
