Hmmm..."persecuted?" I don't know if I can stand behind persecuting them. I think it's ok to make it clear to them that you think their SO is a douchebag, and you can tell them that you won't hang out with both of them, but the bottom line is that it's their decision whom they date. One of my very best friends from undergrad is dating a guy that I (and most of his friends) think is a douchebag. He obviously sees something in this guy that we don't, and that's his prerogative. Not everyone judges people by the same criteria.

Yeah, criteria is one variable where people differ, obviously. What intrigues me is that the douchebaginess of the SO is directed towards a group of friends, particularly one person. I'm amazed my friend hasn't seen this. That or I'm terrified that he's turned a blind eye.
