I played well in piano today, less like a seventeen year old and more like a 55 year old angsty pathetic desolate man, in the words of my piano teacher. In order to get me to play the sounds he wants, he likes to tell me the sounds in terms of stories, emotions, colors, math, anything. I take him a good deal more literally than he probably thinks,

I associate angst much more with 17-year-olds than 55-year-olds. I think once you're no longer a teenager, you aren't angsty, just fucking pissed off.

No, 55 year olds can be angsty. But it's not the same kind of angsty, I don't think. It's the same frustrated anger kind of thing, but more about the fact that life is half over and the inevitability of moving on than about not being able to get into someone's pants.

I'll have you know that my angst has less to do with my inability to get into someone's pants as much as the unavailability of certain pants, for example, these. Aren't they AWESOME?
