Thanksgiving Report, and After

Dec 02, 2008 10:06

Thanks first to everyone for your encouraging comments on my last post. I've been busy the last few days settling into this new experience of unemployment and reality. ( But I did want to report that the time in Corpus Christi with my Beloved's family over Thanksgiving went much better than I dared hope. )

I am so happy that you have found The Person and tha his family is als so welcoming. Itmakes such a difference.

17,000 words is nothing to be upset about! Both you and wee hob should be quite proud.

Your Thanksgiving with your Beloved and his family sounds lovely. I'm glad you had a good time--you were definitely overdue for some peace and relaxation!

Reading about how well things are going with your Beloved always makes me smile. So glad that's working out for you!

You'll notice I wrote exactly 0 words this month. I've come to the conclusion that I can't write when there's a deadline -I just freeze up.
At some point I'll get around to deleting my NaNo account.

Will check out the link you posted, sounds interesting.

Just looked at the link, it's actually something I've seen before, but lost track of at some point. Thanks for linking to it!

Next year-- Write or Die!!! Seriously, that site rocks. I think I could have done a lot better if I had had anything like a plot, and more time, and that site the whole month. I would never have even got what I did, though, without that tool. Try mini_nanowrimo next year-- 100 words is about 2 paragraphs, maybe less. You can do it.

Glad you liked the other link, too.

It is wonderful that you have found someone you are so compatable with. That his family made Wee Hob so welcome is icing on the cake.

Sometimes, following your heart is the right thing to do. Even if it is scary.

Grand passion is all very well (and I hope you have it), but it's more important to be with someone you're comfortable with and can live with for the long haul, and yes, family is incredibly important. Congrats to Wee Hobb for all his hard work!
