Earth Hour

I suppose this entry can be public.

Earth Hour is a movement to make a statement about the current state of the energy crisis and global warming. Participating is as simple as turning your lights out at 8pm today for one hour.

If we all our turn our lights off at 8pm all over the world.....the world won't be totally dark. Wouldn't it be cooler if everybody did it all at once???

I don't think the point is for the world to be dark all at once, I think it's mainly to make a statement and possibly save some energy in the process, especially with big cities. But, that would be pretty cool. However, I didn't organize it so I don't know how anyone would go about mapping out the times for everyone to turn their lights out. I think it's just easier to pick one time for everyone, that way no one gets confused.
