As you know, I loved the ending to this!!! We are about to watch Razor some time today.
First, I thought the music was just perfect for the ending. I loved the song, it matched the tone and ambiance and all of everything that was happening. It gave me the chills.
I had a feeling that Baltar would be not guilty. I LOVED Lee's argument for it. I don't like Baltar at all, but I did think he was on a bit of a witch trial.
And Starbuck!!! OMG!
I wonder if the final fifth is Lee Adama! This is TOTAL speculation. Hmm...or it could be Kara with her whole "destiny" and all...I'm deliciously ignorant of it though, so these are purely "out there" guesses!
As I mentioned in your LJ, I loved this episode. I loved the run up to it (with the Final Four hearing the music in the ship), All Along the Watchtower (which, now, for me, is the definitive version of that song), the return of Starbuck and the pull-out of the Galaxy and the inward rush to Earth... all with that song... You said it exactly right for me: it matched the tone and ambiance and all of everything that was happening. It gave me the chills.
Don't worry... "out there guesses" fit right in with BSG! Out there is in, and in there is out, so come on... (hmmm... this seems rather like a Beatles song lyric!)
Golly... if Lee Adama is the Final Fifth, then that will provide a lot of self-reflection and angst for him. Especially after the speech he made in the court room.
I disliked Lee's speech! It felt too fake and courtroom-drama-like to me and I am just generally sick of him as a character even though I used to think he was hot. I agreed with a lot of what he said but it didn't work for me as a dramatic moment.
The thing with the cylons in that room otoh, I adored that. It totally blew my mind and confused me and I thought it was awesome! Like Claudia, I had chills, even though I don't know what it means!
Yes re Lee's speech! REminded me of the one in Two Towers at the end by Sam. Not necessarily the content but the Hallmark nature of it, pure hambone delivered with a sledgehammer.
But oh the whole choreographed nature of the Four coming together. Still gives me chills to watch it and knowing that Starbuck is going to return makes me cry.

I keep checking for e-mails and seeing none which also means no one's commenting on the smutfic I posted a couple hours ago. :( *plays small violin*
