Oscars weekend

Feb 13, 2011 20:59

on Friday I saw The King's Speech. BRILLIANT. It moved me, filled my eyes with tears, made me laugh at times, it was gorgeous (cinematography & music), the actors were perfect. Give Colin Firth his Oscar already.

Yesterday I saw Black Swan. I arrived 30 min early and there was no tickets left! The King's Speech was full too. Meanwhile, Rien à ( Read more... )

I have seen 8/10 nominated movies so far (The Fighter and Winter's Bone) and The King's Speech was by far the best out of them. If it was up to me,it would win in all categories it is nominated in!

I still need to see True Grit and Winter's Bone. I have like NO interest in seeing The Fighter, but I guess I might if I have seen all of the others.

King's Speech <3333 I need to rewatch. GIVE THE MAN HIS OSCAR. YOU KNOW, THE ONE HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN LAST YEAR.

i had no interest in seeing the Fighter either but i LOVED it. i saw it more than once, that's how much i liked it. definitely recommend.

i'm not even interested in fighting movies at all - but it's more than a fighting movie, it's more of a drama with some fighting. i guess? lol

somehow i've already managed to see all 10 already - i've never seen them all, i'm quite proud!

127 Hours is fantastic, i've seen it three times already. The Fighter was another favorite :D

It's so weird Winter's Bone isn't out there :S it came out here in the summer and has been on DVD here for quite a while! Odd.

wow that's impressive, go you!

well it's often the case with "lesser known movies"... and sometimes they're not released at all! when they think there's no market for it here. Like for instance The Blind Side was released straight-to-dvd and Sandra Bullock got an Oscar for it! But I guess they thought no one would want to see a movie about an American football player here.

Black Swan was one of my favourite films of last year, but I agree that it's hard to say I LOVED it because of the content. I guess... appreciated it is a better word. I adored The King's Speech and True Grit as well. All I have left are 127 Hours, The Fighter, and Winter's Bone.
