Peter posted an amazing video of some of the sights and sounds of pre-production. I'm not ashamed to admit I literally squealed watching this. It's lovely.

I swear I found myself clapping every time someone I knew from Rings came on the screen. And then seeing all the dwarves together in Bag End, and seeing Rivendell again. It's so marvelous!
