Thranduil/Thorin elf worship(?)

Okay, so, what if bb!Thorin was the biggest elf-fan EVER? Like, he read everything he could on them, developed instant crushes on every elf he saw, all that sort of stuff?

Just imagine him toddlering behind some regal elves with stars in his eyes and the elves are all "OMG SO CUTE CAN WE KEEP HIM???" only, all regal and elvish and stuff.

There is, however, only one crush that ever stuck with Thorin. *pointedly looks above*

Also, all the Bonus Points in existence if Thorin declares at their first meeting that Thranduil is his One and they will marry one day, with the utter surety only children possess.
Unicorn points if Thranduil is utterly, completely, helplessly charmed by Thorin, even more so than the other elves.

If sexytimes should happen (they are not needed, but would be nice) please bottom!Thorin.

I kind of feel that this is a new low for me. No hardcore smut, just bb!dwarves.

"Tauriel, I think she's lecturing you on your braids," Lindir said. Smatterings of laughter rose from the assembled Elves. The child was busy trying to unravel Tauriel's left braid, its tiny fingers digging into the woven ends and pulling them apart

"I suppose not." Thranduil heaved the child upwards, anchoring his back and legs with one arm while his right tucked his loosened garments back to some semblance of order. He wore rather impressive finery - blue, embroidered silks with the hems containing bold patterns of tiny animals. The hair framing his face was adorned with spiralling bangles that cast blue reflections at the smallest turn in angle. A member of the nobility, perhaps, or a rich merchant's son. He was also missing a sock. "His speech seems well on its way to fluency, however. Should he not be walking properly by now

At the moment, young Thorin was looking quite distressed at the Dwarf lady's (his mother's?) barely-concealed panic. He fired off another string of excited Khuzdul but the woman stepped closer, hurriedly reached up and shushed Thorin's lips with two fingers.

Ah. The distress was mostly due to Thorin's free use of Khuzdul in the presence of Elves, it seemed.

He glanced to his side and saw Elrond's cautious expression. The other Elf's mirth had vanished when the young one's name was made known - he knew, as Thranduil did, that this could very easily turn into something more grave, depending on how it was handled.

"Back to your family, princeling," Thranduil muttered, with a sigh he couldn't quite suppress. Extricating Thorin from his hair, clothes, and just about everything he could reach of the Elf was something of a group effort. The young child simply did not want to let go, and Thranduil would be lying if he said that didn't warm him in some manner

I hadn't realized how much I was veering from your prompt until I was almost done with the fic, then I wasn't sure if it was even anything you'd want. Very sorry that I couldn't snag the bonus parts. :( I hope others fill in your prompt as well, as I would really love to read those scenarios.

This is the most adorable thing I think I have ever read for this fandom. You write kids like real kids--something almost no one ever does ever. I cannot express enough love.

This was an absolute joy to read, I didn't want it to end! Perfect characterization throughout, I especially loved the dialogue between Thranduil and Elrond and bb Thorin was just so precious I was squealing throughout!

"Obviously a behaviour we must encourage."-- I LOL'd. Loved how you stayed true to Thranduil's sassy side while simultaneously indulging in his fluffier paternal nature

Simply brilliant, author. If you ever thought of continuing this, I think it'd be so interesting to see how their relationship changes as Thranduil re-visits Erebor and tension between the dwarves and elves escalate over the years, ie child Thorin still in awe of Thranduil though more shielded by his guards, teen Thorin having become more wary and cautious with adult Thorin downright loathing the sight of any elf that crosses his path.

AGH SEE ALL THE PLOT BUNNIES YOU HAVE JUMPING AROUND MY HEAD

Ignore me, your fic just got me so excited.

AuthorAnon here, thank you so much for the lovely comment! As amazing as your scenarios are, my problem is I can't quite visualize them in my head. I'd planned on writing Thorin growing up and Thranduil's influence on that to bring it closer to the prompt, but my brain just refuses to let me see it. :( Very sorry! Perhaps you could write it instead, Anon? I'm eager to read your version of events, as that whole paragraph you just wrote got me very curious!
