[Sherlock!AU] in which Watson(Bilbo) has friends in places, Thilbo, badass Companyjeza_redJanuary 16 2013, 16:57:40 UTC
So somewhere during second season of Sherlock when Moriarty starts blowing shit up John's patience ends and he decides to end the merry chase his crazy flatmate can't seem to. He calls in some favours.
Help comes in the form of a special secret anti-terrorist unit known only as the Company, led by a misterious agent known by a codename Oakenshield. They may be a little unruly and a little unconventional, but they ALWAYS get the job done.
+ bonus points if John came in contact with them somewhere in Afganistan/Iraq where he patched up Thorin (or maybe the nephews) without knowing who he (they) is (are). From that point on the Company swore to repay the debt - whenever he needs them, they will come+ if Thorin harbours some deep feelings for the softhearted army doctor, but is afraid to act on them

Oh, I forgot to mention that Gandalf is the group's handler - and he likes to troll Mycroft at any chance he gets. Can't let those youn-uns get too big for their shoes, now, can he? XD

wow if I had seen any Sherlock ever I would be really tempted to fill this aknfgadgnad
I am still kind of tempted depending on how I feel after some wiki'ing
just guh anti-terror/special forces unit Company. Guh.
OP do you have any feelings on whether said secret anti-terror unit must be British? I'm think more quasi-shady Private Military Contractors for various reasons.

I am all for customising the prompt:) I imagine them as a chop suey from all kinds of places. And your shady Military Contractors - idea speaks to me like gold.
I would love you forever if you decided to write it:) (sherlock's a good show, Martin Freeman shines in it:])

[...okay this prompt has eaten my brain. Until I have seen more of Sherlock, have a prologue.]

John wakes up muzzy, hands tied behind him, his hip a flare of lightness where his gun isn’t resting, the stale rasp of burlap on his face. His head doesn’t hurt, so it wasn’t a concussion - someone drugged him, and precisely enough that he doesn’t, particularly, feel like dying, even though he is undoubtedly about to. He jostles from side to side, hemmed in by the tacky, heavy warmth of burly arms on either side. He can hear engine noises, the tinny racket of little pebbles tossed up against the vehicle’s undercarriage, feel the rattle and heaving change of momentum as they go around little winding curves. John hates the so-called roads in these mountains
