Prey, by Michael Crichton, is a story based on an interesting idea but, I think, is poorly executed. Very similar to a grey goo scenario but with a human twist.

Self-Made Man, by Norah Vincent, is a book detailing the years the author lived as male. Not as a FTM but as a woman disguised, almost 24/7, as a guy. Not too long of a text and worth

The irony of reading and reporting on a book written by an author who just happened to pass away today. Ironic, but not powerfully so.
