[ In this AU, the Tokyo quake was not just confined to Tokyo, but affected the whole world. Luffy, a pirate!!, was situated at some town when it hit him too! Now he's a weird kind of deadman whose body changes shape with the blood, thus he can stretch BUT HE'S NOT FULLY MADE OF RUBBER. He can use Gear 2nd but not Gear 3rd. He wasn't captured, but broke into DW himself because he was tricked into believing that his brother was thrown here.

ANYWAY, IN MY HEADSPACE, AWESOME SHIT HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM AND NOW THEY ARE 'FRIENDS'. With Luffy's personality, it's ...inevitable anyway. ]
