Touya eyed the neon sign with a raised eyebrow while Shindou flashed him a reassuring smile.

“Still okay with this?”

“Yes, of course,” he answered. If Shindou wanted this then he did too.

And it became easier to forget their unusual surroundings as he concentrated on the serious look in Shindou’s eyes.

And his hands…

“Oh god…”

“You like that?” Shindou grinned smugly.

“You’ve done this before!”

“No. Just beginner’s luck,” Shindou answered, probing deeper.

And Touya surrendered.

Afterwards, Shindou glowed with satisfaction as Touya ignored the bemused look the owner gave them as they left the Go Salon.

Writer’s notes:

As many know, the Japanese word for a “move” in the game of Go is te (Romaji) which also translates as “hand.” This makes for great pun-like word play.

Similarly, a probing move is one which tests an opponent’s position - hmmm, that doesn't sound all that innocent either - a better G-rated description here. Of course as it's used in this drabble, the verb could be interpreted differently ;-)

zb1, drabble
