This was really lovely and full of great imagery. Clothes are such a big part of identity and occupation (as in job, not setting up shop in someone else's country ;)) it's always interesting to see the theme being explored.

Hey thanks so much for your comment, and interesting thought about clothes, identity and occupation. Hey it might even have a bearing on the military 'occupation' since Napoleaon had to abandon his Russian campaign cos all his bleeding soldiers had summer uniforms and simply froze to death...ekkk! I must admit that apart from a excuse to write about billowing shirt (does one need an excuse) the idea did come from when I was recently writing a bit from another story and I thought ...jeezzz they would of had to wash clothes in sea water, that would be so grim. I think I wouldn't have bothered at all...peg for your nose anyone :)
