Weekend sail of HMS Surprise!
I'll post pictures later, they're uploading right now (and I took quite a lot, so it's taking a really long time), but this weekend was absolutely fabulous! We could have used more wind, but we did get some on Saturday, and it was quite fun. We have a plushie sloth that sits (or rather, is lashed) by the wheel. It's quite adorable and amuses us greatly. Sunday evening after the sail, a friend and I offered to 'clean up' the costumes, basically we went in the little cabin and put the hats on. I have something of a small head (probably due to me being female), but according to my friend, Jack and Blakeney and Mowett have small heads. In fact, only the unnamed marine had a hat that would fit him. It was really big on me, though. xD And there was a random block of wood in Mowett's pocket. I've no idea why. But Jack's costume is in the front now, to whoever was upset about it a while ago that it was all hidden in the back. To you obsessive fans and the like: I have worn Russell Crowe's hat. (But when I think about it, it was kind of gross, knowing that his sweat was there, ick.) Anyway, that's all for now, I'll be back soon with pictures!
