...it was your birthday on 8th August and I didn't even know! *is ashamed*
You see, I really suck at remembering birthdays, unless they're in the family (and that is just because my parents remind me about them), so I hope I'm forgiven. I feel like a bad friend, anyway. :(
So, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, darling! Better late than never, eh?
*sends virtual cake with a chocolate-covered Sam Tyler on top* ;)
don't worry about it. I'm the Great Forgetter of Birthdays myself, and I don't tend to blame other people for weaknesses I can easily observe in myself. *g*
And yikes, sorry for the super-late reply. Somehow the entire birthday thread completely slipped my mind in the last few weeks.
Hmmm... considering our track record of the last few years, I think we should start planning a meeting *now*. *g*
What's the situation with you at the moment? I've dropped reading LJ again (except for very rare surprise visits to random people), so I don't know what's going on.
I'd love to plan a meeting for February... (fingers crossed that I'll actually be *done* in February, and won't have to get an extension of my deadline...) I'll have final exams starting a few months after that, but there *has* to be time for a couple of days of geeking out!
Hooray for the August crop of birthdays! A great month to be born in!
I'm so sorry you were sick! At least you're feeling better now, right? Maybe you should hold yourself a belated birthday party with cake and stuff to celebrate your non-sickness?
Also, thank you very much for such a lovely recc! To be honest, looking back, there are a few in there that I think are kind of clunky, but it's nice to know that they showed early promise. ;)
And GOOD LUCK with your thesis! You have ages! You'll be fine! I have complete faith in you! I am always available for email discussions if necessary!

And of course I missed yours, too. It was... err, the 20th of August? Or the 25th? Anyway, happy belated... ;-)
