Small Sunday Spam

I decided to put up spam post though it's already Sunday and I don't have a theme in mind.

I admit I wasn't too thrilled about LJ's newest update... Maybe some of you have felt the same way and haven't even logged into your journals yet.

Well, sorry I don't have much else to say at this moment. I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday!

Almost all of my Sherlock fandom "friends" are migrating everything to Dreamwidth. (Not that I care overmuch, since I'm pretty well done with it.)

I don't post anything but SPAM posts on LJ anymore, so I'm not overly worried about it. All my fic goes straight to A03 these days. But I honestly don't know what to think.

Did you move all your older fan fic to A03? I should look at that agreement more closely to see if I (or Willie & I) need to do anything to the old stories.

Yeah, I've imported most of my stuff to A03, so I don't need to worry about that. I do have a Dreamwidth, but the only thing I do on LJ anymore is this, so not exporting my whole LJ over there. Well, for all I know, it's been deactivated for lack of activity. :0)

As for moving old stuff--you talking the archives and such??

That's a tough call.

Interesting question on the archives. This is why I refuse to completely embrace the digital age.

Also, I would feel a momentary gut-punch at losing all of the old Treat {fill-in-the-blank] Right Comms that you inspired. I have fond memories of Intercomm.

Oh, my. Hadn't seen the content provision. I'm yet another person who is only on here for SPAM.

I haven't transferred any old fic because I haven't found a place to move it to. Have a Dreamwidth account. Never use it.

AO3 is my archive of choice these days and it's fantastic, IMHO.

It's pretty painless to import your work form LJ using the URL to any given fic post. AO3 will pull it right in and you're good. Might be a little work to do, like choosing ratings and such, but you wouldn't have to reformat text or anything.

These spam posts are really the only things I do on LJ anymore. All my old fic has already been posted on AO3, so if it goes poof here, that's alright. Everything has already been imported to DW ages ago and I think I downloaded a copy of my LJ, though don't ask me where I saved that...

If Russia cares about my fandom squeeing, so be it, LOL.
