A potentially touchy subject, deftly handled! I like Methos' sensible suggestions, Joe burning the midnight oil, and Duncan's freestyled bluff. The three working together are a significant force to be reckoned with!

I feel like Quickenings with weird side effects is a vastly underused trope in this fandom, more so because it's canon. Using a Quickening as the impetus to play with a fairy tale is a great interpretation, and one I can't recall seeing before. I loved the twist on the tale and how the witch (and a male witch at that!) gets defeated without any of the victims dying, um, permanently, that is.

Methos' running insistence on breakfast made me laugh. Trust the guy to prioritize his creature comforts.

I'm also curious about that breakfast conversation and hearing the story Methos didn't yet share about his previous encounter with a child eating witch.
