Charming, with Duncan and Methos both getting to enjoy something that reminds them of the past. I love that they included Joe., And I'm disturbed that a pudding would last for 3 years without going bad...
Not sure what wonderful holiday magic gave me TWO such delightful stories, but I'm not complaining!
Recognizing a sure sign that the mule wasn’t going to trot, Dawson picked up the whisk and set to work on the eggs.
hee! I just really love Dawson in this story, particularly his constant bewilderment. Like this:
“Lord, you two make a racket,” Methos said. “Can’t you let a man sleep?”
“You sneaky bastard!” Dawson yelled. “When did you…?”
“This afternoon,” Methos said.
Too many delightful lines to quote: Remembering what the bible said about temptation and eating, he found that he was growing warm.
Aww, they are all so cute! I love Duncan cooking for his friends. I love a sleepy just-woken Methos, the sly looks, sweaters, and the too smart watcher putting the clues together. So much fun. Only wish it were longer! But I also loved it just as it is. Thank you Author Wenches-a-lot!!

By complete coincidence, I learned about "stir-up Sunday" and long-lived puddings for the first time a few weeks ago, inside this year's Jacquie Lawson "Edwardian Advent Calendar"! So I actually think I know what's going on here, even if Joe doesn't. :-) Fun!
