Oh, but this is so gorgeously created - the ice-storms, and the fae pub - the stairs to Trick's quarters - and the way all of this things are seen and reacted to by your Methos! It's such a joy to read, even without knowing Lost Girl at all: the whole makes perfet, logical, and so very appealing sense.

Thank you! I'm glad the story worked for you, even without knowing half the canon involved. I tried to make it accessible for non LG fans while still doing LG justice. It's a fine line, and I wasn't always sure I balanced it properly.

:) The story has stayed in my thoughts over the last few days. I was wondering, do you have a transformative works/podfic policy? I'm ill at the moment, and engaged in another podfic project for the forseeable future, but I'd totally love to have a crack at podficcing this story if you would allow it? The thought of Methos being Kenzi's teacher made me start cheering. All those accents, expert and not. And I particularly like the fact that, when Trick finally called Methos in to replay that blood debt, it wasn't a death that settled a debt of mercy, but the chance of giving Kenzi another life.

Thank you! It was a tossup between Methos and Amanda at first, but in the end I decided Methos having a history with Trick would be the easier to write, and the rest of it just built on from there.

I have never seen Lost Girl, but the character of Trick was very intriguing, and I laughed my head off at Methos's ordeal of managing the winter trek.
