Love the title - and LOL that Kronos started the whole Gathering thing, and to Methos's strategic planning.

Thanks :) I figured Methos couldn't be secretly responsible for everything. Kronos should share some of the blame.

Author, this is lovely, and exactly the kind of thing I had in mind. The last line is perfect! Thank you so much.

Thank you :) That last line drove the whole story. I'm glad it worked for you.

Ah - sensitive subject (oh, Joe!), but it was lovely to see the friendship between Methos and Joe. And I must admit I'm grinning over the snow - really nice touch!

Thanks :) I've always loved the Methos & Joe friendship, and would have been happy with many more episodes just about the two of them. The snow was a touch of prescience. I planned it into the story early on, then ended up sitting through a blizzard on the 21st while putting the finishing touches on the story.

If it had been about anyone except for Joe, Methos would have told MacLeod to stuff it and would have re-disappeared for a few years for good measure.

This line made me laugh out loud. :D And this one was so perfectly Methos:

“People kill each other over myths all the time. Why not this one?

Great little story! If there's any place I'd like to spend the last night before the end of the world, it's Joe's.

Thanks :) It's always good to hear when lines capture the characters' voices particularly well.

Joe's is definitely the best place to spend the apocalypse. There's a certain amount of wish-fulfillment there.

Joe's is the only place to spend the end of the world! I'm thinking it's good for Joe's business, too. He could schedule it for every other Tuesday. That's a slow night.

I really enjoyed this encounter right down to my toes. I love how Joe and Methos fence with each other, reassuring themselves that come what may in the world, right up to the end, neither of them have changed, down deep in the places time never touches.

Thanks for the lovely comment :) Their friendship was one of the best parts of the show.
