Lovely and intricate story - I like how you've woven in Joe and Methos behind the scenes in the whole Kristen episode.

Thanks bunches! It was obvious Joe and Methos had something going on in that episode.

"I was a spark in a flame; I was wood in a bonfire"

I've read this story several times now and marveled at the dances through time and space and what each answer to the riddles reveals, but that one above--"I was a spark in a flame; I was wood in a bonfire" that is how I see Methos and how I see the relationship between him and Duncan. And the endurance I see in his relationship with Joe.

This story deserves more feedback than I have brain cells to give to it right now. Thank you very much. It is a lovely gift.

Absolutely love the sharpness of both description and dialogue - and the framing within the episode. That last line's a dozy. Bravo!

Fantastic dialogue! I've always felt there was rich territory to be explored in those first few episodes, so this was wonderfully satisfying for me.

I especially love the image of MacLeod walking along the river with Methos that first day with a hard-on. :D And also, the fact that you remembered Jerry Garcia died in 1995, and how you worked that in. Lovely scene that I choose to believe happened. ♥

Thanks killabeez - glad you enjoyed it.

Poor Duncan caught it bad from the first moment. It took Methos a little longer but in the end...

I loved taking the journey with this story, not knowing quite where you will be with each section. It was amazing how so well-known an episode like Chivalry can be made new and wonderful again. So much to love - the dialogue, the opening quotes, the lovely lovely (complicated) chemistry between Duncan and Methos. And not to mention the friendship between Methos and Joe. Read Sumerian! haha!

You know, I've said it before, but thank God for Kristen! What would we do without her?? lol.

Loved this so much.

Thanks hafital! You know, you're right about Kristin. I never thought about it, but without her would Methos ever have plopped himself on Duncan's couch, not to mention his bed?
