Really love the little touches of detail in this - the ducklings and the salt-cedar - and the glimpse of an SCA encampment. But that fighting scene is just superb, that moment of realisation. Stunning stuff, beautifully done!

Thank you! It would not have been nearly as good without your help. I'm glad the details work.

Oh wow! A Highlander meets the SCA story!!!! It's always fun to find well written fiction about the Society and this was certainly that.

I loved this. Truly delightful. My favorite was the scene culminating with: There was a serious note underlying the light-hearted tone. "I'll not tease you about your memory again."

Never waste good beer, indeed! Connor and Methos do share some core virtues. Methos is lucky Connor didn't break out the Boom Boom. Then again, he _did_ lose his memory...!

Excellent story of Methos playing with swords, and Connor playing with fire.

Thank you! And indeed, never waste good beer. They are drinking beer brewed by a friend of mine, and it is very good. Methos is lucky it was just a combination of some things Connor learned from Nakano and Ramirez, plus some of the meads making it all the more effective.

I'm very glad you liked it.

Loved the juxtaposition of the old ways with the new. And seeing Connor again. You're right, Endgame never happened. Thanks for a wonderful read and for the link to Rhi's story; that one's new to me.
