I've always had a soft spot for Rebecca, and this story sums up so nicely the reasons why. Lovely.

I really like the quality of quietude in this story - " Nothing needs said, and she lets him settle at her feet as she works on some piece of mending. Here, he is Haerviu again" - and the calm certitude of this relationship. Lovely thing to read.

Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much! It grabbed me from the first sentence - I love the lyrical language, the evocative sense of setting and history, the gentle movement through time. I like Haerviu a lot as a character, and it was also nice to see a glimpse of Rebecca's husband (he's in fic so rarely!). This is absolutely beautiful, and has such a strong sense of the past and history and continuity - thank you so much for writing this for me. :)
