Well color me stunned and impressed. The part that really grabbed me (by the throat) was the first reveal of Richie being a fig newton of Duncan's imagination.

Brilliant, funny, sad, beautiful, strange, odd, and then there's Methos prank calling people with poetry. That's beyond cool. Thank you!!

I enjoyed this story with its many textures of mythology, Methos style of "helping" and Duncan's plight. Funny, quirky and sad all rolled together.

Wonderful story. I love the smoothness with which the fantastical elements were incorporated, such as Methos videotaping the sleep-killing, and 'Richie' matter-of-factly referring to a TV show that started airing after his death.

Dude, you should give up on me ever managing to get TV an Richie's death correct, though this time I think I get an out.

I'm glad that you liked it! Thanks!

Fascinating! - the mythology, the conversation with Richie, and the really off-the-wall moments, and also funny - Methos reciting poetry to answering machines (but not to actual people), the desert island conversations, and the dialogue:
"Your beer-to-blood ratio must be low. Walk faster."

I have no idea why I hadn't thought of that dialogue line sooner. It cracked me up when I wrote it.

Thanks for reading! I am glad that you liked it!
