Shakespeare and Co. should be listed in the character column--it is wonderful and sinister and mysterious and alluring and quite Immortal in it's own bookish way. I love the way Duncan is trapped in it's literary web. Sneaky, sneaky, Old Man. Yes, indeed.

You know Joe is Watching. And laughing his ass off.

Originally, this was a magic bookstore story and involved Joe as well as Methos. Joe's kind of significant in his absence here, but Duncan has him in his thoughts.

the element of surprise! the buildup is very good it keeps you guessing for a while. I like the mystery and the familarity of this piece the way the words come alive as he meets us with his friend and is taken off a bit of distraction into the most wonderful arms. Arms he has missed and aches to feel again letting his mind and heart surrender all at once.

Goood read.

I don't know the universe very well, but She Who Must Be Obeyed told me to come and read. So glad I did. It's such a visually rich story, you really narrate and describe so well, I could see and imagine everything. I know Paris too, and it felt like you'd spent a good bit of time there. Beautiful writing. Now I just have to get SWMBO to explain who said that last line....

This is a kind of incriminating conversation for you, isn't it?
