I really like this conversation between Joe and Methos. Nice reference to Blake also. Thanks.

I love Methos and Joe's friendship, and one of the things I love most about Joe is how non-judgemental he is - he's friends with who the person is, not what they used used to be - and you've caught that beautifully.

Byron is, IMHO, woefully underused in HL fiction. Of course, the real Byron is pretty much ignored these days as well; mores the pity. Since I'm a fan of both (the real Byron and the HL version) it's lovely to get this as a gift. Thank you, Santa, for your efforts!

“I don't cheat. I just improve my odds slightly.” He said.

Methos is really all about being precisely imprecise. ;)

Nice Methos and Joe follow-up to the whole sad state of Byron. Also a nice comparison of how some can rise above self-destructive behavior (Methos and Joe) and other can't.

Byron was a fascinating character and his friendship with Benjamin Adams was very complex. Funny that Byron never knew Methos' real identity. Yet, I think Byron was too unstable for Methos to let him have that much power - the power of knowing who he was.
