I liked this. I could help but think how true it was about Mac been the cause of all the problems and then in the end it turns out that Mac could eaven remember Francis' wife. I also liked the way you got Richie been the one coming on to Methos. Like i said before i liked this :D

I found this hysterical. I really enjoyed your Mac - the clueless do gooder. Also i always like a story that centers around Richie. The hints of slash were so minor I didn't even notice. Really entertained. :)

Today I am following you from story to story, Diane.

This was a lively, fun story.

And Mac offering the guy dinner at the end to "talk out" their bizarro problem was just priceless. I am sure the guy just looked at him.

I will go back to the beginning and look for your url. I hope to read more of your stories asap.

Merry New Year INDEED.

"Where's MacLeod?" he demanded.

"Uhg," Richie gurgled, then died.

This so the story of Richie's life.

Instead he was here with Adam--who was really Methos, but hell if Richie could get used to calling him that after calling the other guy Methos for a whole week. Besides, Methos didn't want to be called Methos, he preferred Adam. Only Mac called him Methos and that was because Mac was sometimes really dense about those kinds of things. He didn't even notice the way Adam winced every time he did it.

This is the story of Methos's life.

Duncan dodged and leapt forward into a roll, coming up right in front of the man. The man got a shot off, but it was poorly aimed, and went wild. He could hear the bullet take out a window and grimaced. Windows were expensive to replace. Why did everyone have to come here and wreck his place?

And this is the story of Duncan's life.

I can't even pinpoint all the other great moments in this, like the risotto line, or the frantic calling around for Mac, Richie's skill at lying, all of it. Brill.

This is great. It's been a while since I read any Methos/Richie and I love that it's Richie making the first move. And this bit is just brill Richie had been lying to people since before he'd licked his first raspberry-red all-day sucker. He stared at up the guy with his eyes wide and as guileless as a kitten.
