I like the man and always will, but I think it would be nice to include a little something on how he knows he hasn't been up to standard (and that's putting it diplomatically) and that he and the whole team should pull up their socks for the Club and the fans, if no one else.

me too. oh dear. i'm not sure if you meant "pull their socks up" in that way, because er, Aleks never pulls his socks up, literally. i thought maybe something like feeling bad for being kinda responsible for the goal, but then i don't think he'd do that, ever. *sigh*
