I've been nominated for awards.
The mind boggles.
The Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards site has me

FYI, don't be so sure you won't win the post-series-finale fic category because:
1) You don't know who else will be nominated.
2) I have length really, really against me on this one.
3) Even I can see the tonal change after the first quarter of the story where yours is more consistent in tone.
4) I have more OCs than you. The greater the number of OCs the less likely people are to read to the end, I've found.
See? Four great reasons!

1. True... but I think that Living History is a better story, all-around -- and it actually has an ending! Rather than just a, "...to be continued..."
2. Yeah. You do have a longer story. Of course, the nomination technically says "Of Those Chosen" rather than just The Twins...
3. Yeah. I can see the tonal change, too. I could even before you first mentioned it. Doesn't make the story worse.
4. You don't have that many more OCs than I do. =) I have: Cole, Donner, Janet, Kim, Audrey, Katharine, and Helen. That's seven right there.
But besides all that -- your readership is bigger, and I think that Living History is a neater story. Time travel is just teh sexy. =)
