Looks like I was defriended by suporma. Probably due to my being boring or not trying to comment on her entries or anything. No arguments here, it's pretty much basically my fault anyway for, y'know, not trying.
In other news, I'm again thinking about that IRC idea I'd been working out. You know, the one associated with my (wip) tag? I'm thinking I may ( Read more... )

I actually IRC RP fairly regularly and I know some people who might like to try a new RP, though I imagine you don't want me to just drag people you've never seen before into something like this.

Speaking of which, I know this is probably me being lazy, but can you kind of TL;DR what exactly this project of yours is so I'm up to speed?

Non-spoilers info is generally kept here.

The plot itself is mostly a "save your homeland from " sort of thing but it's not without its fair share of twists, based on a previous idea I'd had that never kicked off. A number of different events related to the main plot have already been planned out well in advance. The outcome of these is to depend heavily on choices made by the players, and will have very clear effects on anything to happen afterward, meaning each person participating will be free to try to tweak the finer details of the plot as they see fit, right in the middle of everything.

Depends on what it is.

As for if it's allowed or not, that also depends, except in this case on what the character's abilities would be. As long as I don't feel it'll mess up the plot in any way it should be fine.

Hum. I was thinking; I have a character I've been working on in my downtime at work that I was thinking to put in hopefully here, and I was wondering if I could put something in that would probably not affect the world at all. Basically just a bunch of houses forming a community out in the woods somewhere that doesn't even count as a small village. Basically the reason being is that her family, being in said community, is strongly anti-magic (to the point that the capacity to use it was removed from her bloodline,) and they'd need to be in a community where a magic ban would be possible.

I was hoping to avoid including a place like that since it could be interpreted as a reference to DE stuff, which I've been trying to distance myself from save for TFW and a few LJ-related things. If it's needed for character/background reasons though I don't really see why not.
