Subject: Emergency Situation this Morning -- Update
It appears we're okay.
All preliminary field tests have been completed on the powdery substance found on the FedEx package in the mailroom. The results came back negative for any substance of alarm. Further testing will be done in their labs, just to make sure there is not a problem.
Just to be on the safe side, the Corporation has decided to keep the mailroom closed for 48 hours, and will reopen on Monday morning. Any mail that is inside that room will remain in there until then; this includes all overnight packages that were delivered there this morning. There will be no mail of any kind going out from the mailroom today. If you have FedEx or UPS shipments that need to go out tonight, you can make use of the drop boxes on the first floor. Be sure to attach a completed airbill to those packages.
