So late, so late... meme answers

Okay, so like a month (or more) ago, I did this meme where I was all "pick a story and I'll tell you three things about it that you don't know," and liptonrm picked "Occasions of Sin" and/or "Periphery," and I came up with one measly thing about "Occasions of Sin" (see Thing 1 below). I've been mulling and mulling, and it's been very hard because liptonrm and the ( Read more... )

These were good Things.

Even if this - but the real reason was that he loved them like crazy. - made me tear up. Jim realy did love them - it's what made me love him so. You know, I often find it hard to read any Pastor Jim that isn't yours. It's not the fault of the author, but yours was my first and best intro to him in fic and it was everything (totally canon in my head) that I wanted Pastor Jim to be.

:-) I'm all conflicted about Pastor Jim because on the one hand, I really really want (or, "wanted" past tense because I think it's too late for it now) a Pastor Jim flashback episode, but on the other hand, the flashback episode I want is pretty much this story on my TV.

OMG you're breaking my heart! Of course Jim wanted to raise those boys. How could anyone, sitting on the outside, not want to take those kids in and give them something better? John had chosen his path but his sons could still have inherited something more than death and destruction.

*sniffles* And that's why we all got hooked on this show. Because it does these sorts of things to us.

I love how Jim introduced John to Bobby and it was Bobby who called John in 'Salvation.' And, you know, in 'Periphery' I never blamed Jess for going back to California. She's allowed to have a breaking point, to not be the perfect girlfriend. And this is all created in Sam's head so if Sam feels like he doesn't deserve to have her with him then away she goes.

Oh, Sammy, you always try so hard. You break my heart.

Oh, man. I got so nostalgic for S1 SPN in the last few weeks. I keep being tempted by the DVDs but I've been putting it off. I just want that gut-kick back, you know? Remember? I know you do!

Very glad to hear you didn't dislike Jess for bailing out. It's true that she happened upon Sam's Crazeh in full flower, and as we know, Winchester Crazeh is super-sized and freaksome. So I guess I should cut her some slack for needing a bit of space.
