Long time, no post. Pictures and (probably) some blather

Hello! I am still here! I have groceries enough to wait out the oncoming snowpocalypse. Considering the constant hammering the East Coast has gotten this winter, I'm feeling pretty lucky if we just get this one really bad one, but talk to me again tomorrow and see what I say. I may have turned into a total baby about it all ( Read more... )

Eeeeee I am so excited for you! And you look gorgeous, unsurprisingly. What's the exact ("exact") due date?

Thanks, buddy! We're very excited, too. I've started having "getting-to-the-hospital" dreams and get a little freaked out every time I have a practice contraction--like, what if this one turns out not to be practice?

Exact due date is March 8. Actual due date TBD. Apparently only a small percentage of babies hit their due dates on the button.

This makes me want to cry. You look beautiful. Marc looks positively happy as a clam.

Thanks so much for the post. Makes me wish I was back in Labor and Delivery.

Aww, thank you. I feel enormous, of course, and was okay with that until the double chin sprouted and my ankles disappeared. The frightening thing for me (in terms of my vanity and physical comfort) is that he doesn't appear to actually be a huge baby (fundal measurements are exactly average), and yet I know that I'm only going to get bigger and bigger in the next five weeks.

Marc's pretty pleased with himself (and us), it's true.

Wish you were back in L&D, too, specifically at my hospital!

*hugs*

You are very very welcome and YAY! Also, I think it's totally awesome that you're putting the chuppa in the nursery like that.

And you are definitely bigger than when I saw you. Munchy P! Getting so big! I can't wait to see him (and, someday, meet him). Though I bet not nearly as much as you can't wait.

I'm still so excited and happy for you guys! (I totally typed that as "guts" and laughed at myself for a minute)

Our guts thank you and welcome your good wishes and excitement! :-)

Yeah, we had a growth spurt in the middle of January. It's weird, too, because the way he moves has totally changed as he's outgrowing his space. He can't really kick me anymore, just presses against the sides of me, slides arms and/or legs around a bit, and taps with fingers or fists (the least comfortable of all because he's head down and that puts his fists right over my cervix and blader, which--ouch!).

Hope your travel schedule allows a meet and greet! (And ours--our June/July is looking kind of crazy already.)

Love!

Did you fight any snow zombies during the snowpocalypse?

Nope, no snow zombies, just snow. And mostly I watched as others fought the snow, as I have been barred from shoveling this winter. I played an amusing game of fetch-the-snowball with the dog who lives upstairs, though.
