Missing Major Dick Winters today. There are so few real people who are heroes to me. I know I'm far from alone in mourning a role model and an inspiration. Hang tough, friends.

Yeah I found out about Major Winters' passing last night when Richard Speight, Jr. tweeted it. We've lost a true hero and a wonderful man.

Yep. Am glad, though, that he had such a long, mostly peaceful life during which he inspired so many people.
