I know exactly shit about, like, How to Do Family Weddings or whatever, so I won't even pretend to give you counsel there, but can I just say that I made little high-pitched noises all throughout my reading of this entry? I wish I could do some crazy magic that would allow you to combine your two Things You Want To Do and do them all where you're happiest. *curses lack of crazy magical powers*

now. here are my random thoughts about weddings and such. i understand you want your people there, but you're getting married to marc, not your family. you don't need or deserve the stress of planning a france-approved wedding. now, keep in mind i'm a bitch and don't have any family i really like, so. but before you freak out about dates, this seems like something you should talk to marc about more. make some goals. decide when and what you want, and hash it out with the dates after.
that said, i freely admit i don't know what i'm talking about. except, i love and support you. i DO know what i'm talking about in that regard.
