1. Had a wonderful weekend with Marc. Between my mother and The French Kid, I hadn’t seen him for more than dinner (and then only twice) in about three weeks. So it was very good to get some time alone for just the two of us

*HULK SMISH* Was so very fantastic to see you again!!!
Thank you for the itch-b-gone. Dag, yo. I was slathered in bug repellent the whole time, and yet the bugs appear not to have been repelled.
:-) Marc's pretty cute, huh? He was looking a bit scruffier than usual--though his hair always looks like that--as he was revelling in not having to shave for four days. Glad you approve! I think I'll keep him, assuming I can pull that trick off.
Yes, it's this thing where you take some number of photos (seven maybe?) every day and post them. Different things you see/do during your day. Which appeals to me because I keep being reminded how rarely I take pictures, and maybe it will help.
I am very glad to hear that you had a good weekend with some actual downtime where you weren't playing hostess or running around at Disney concerts or reading stacks of textbooks.
Yes, yes, and yes to all of that. It was wonderful. I did have some schoolbooks going, but they're occasionally actual books this semester, which makes homework on vacation a lot less annoying.
Yay for getting your life back! I know exactly what you mean. Houseguests are awesome, but they don't leave you much room for downtime.
Post pictures, yes! So that the rest of us can contribute our fangirl stamps of approval for Marc as well. (I'm sorry, that sentence was probably more verbose than it needed to be, that is what working life DOES to you. My housemate agrees; she just made us tea and then wandered around the kitchen for about thirty seconds, completely lost. "What was I going to do? ...oh, yeah, sit down on my chair.")
Agreed. It turns out that downtime is very important to me. This weekend I'm even looking forward to that two to three hours where Marc sleeps in and I sit in the living room doing my homework and drinking coffee. It seems like such a luxury now.
I think I shall post pictures! Thanks for the encouragement.
And, yes. It is a well-known fact that work kills your brain and makes you talk stupid.
