Happy to report that yesterday I was reunited with 99% of the files on my old computer. I didn't pay them to recover my BSG S2.5 episodes or any of the other stuff on that hard drive, so I have lost all my BSG treats, but it's all refindable. I spent a ridiculous amount of time last night arranging the old files on the new computer and getting rid ( Read more... )

So glad you got most of your files back -- that's such a drag! At least you were able to do a good virtual spring cleaning.

*hugs* I can totally relate to the telltale signs of depression in your apartment. The state of the piles on my coffee table is a pretty accurate reading of my mental state. I hope you feel up to tackling that soon.

The great file sorting was oddly satisfying. Much moreso than a great file mourning the passing of, for example :-)

Thank you. Yeah, reaction to physical environment and degree of giving a crap about it is a very clear indicator to me. Usually, if I can get up enough gumption to do something about the surroundings, I buck up a bit myself.

Man, the idea of contributing to one is terrifying to me. Once I go down that path, I'm gone for good, I fear.

I did get a good giggle over how similar (without plagarism, I swear, I was just checking my facts at the end) my and wiki's essays on I Spy were.
