I sort of see this Ashmore guy playing someone who is a complete nincompoop, which I sort of want to see. Like you, I love the Ashmores since one of them was in the failled attempt at the Animorphs series, and then X-men and then smallville. Still, I don't know how I would feel if Ashmore's character gets to Myka. (I'd vote for him being Claudia's love interest, though, if they don't bring back Todd.) Ooh, could you imagine this guy as Leena's interest? I mean she needs more screen time, and I love her. I don't know what this will do for the Myka/Helena relationship (because there IS something there, even if Myka or the produicers of the show don't want to admit it), or even the Pete/Myka friendship, and this worries me. Those were the things that made season two great for me.

Oh, dude, I hadn't even considered the remotest possibility of him being a love interest for one of the characters. I really don't think the show would go that way... there may be a slight hint toward a Steve/Myka relationship but yeah I really can't see it! If Paula Garces stint told us anything, though, it would be all right for Pete and Myka's dynamic, I reckon.

Tricky stuff! We'll just have to wait and see.
