Axel lurked in the alley way beside the Memory Skyscraper, the rain pouring down on him and he slid to the ground, his hood falling back and revealing a tearstained face that quickly washed away with the rain, ‘Why. Why didn’t it work?’
He pulled his knees to his chest, he had watched as Roxas was taken away…forced to become one with his Other again. He had done nothing to stop it because he had thought it would be for the best…because it was what Roxas wanted.
That’s when he had found out…a few days later…the process had failed and had destroyed them both. Roxas. His Other. Both were now gone.
Axel was all alone.
He didn’t even look up when he heard footsteps approaching. They stopped in front of him but he still didn’t raise his eyes, “Hey.”
Axel vaguely recognized that voice. He finally looked up expecting to see the blindfolded teen who had kidnapped his Roxas…instead all he saw was a man in a cloak with dark skin and piercing orange-yellow eyes…yet…he felt for certain it was the same boy with the blindfold, “Riku…right?”
The man looked away, the hood blocking his face, “I gave up that name the day he…disappeared.”
Axel looked up at him sympathetically…it was obvious this boy was alone now too…he must have been friend’s with Roxas’s Other, “You’re alone now too huh?”
The man didn’t say anything and merely dropped down next to Axel, tilting his own head back to look up at the clouded sky as the rain now hit his face making it impossible for Axel to tell if he had started crying or not. The heart shaped moon peaked through the clouds and reflected in his catlike eyes, “Yes…I am.”
The red-haired Nobody wasn’t sure why he did it but he reached over and put a gloved hand atop the other’s, not saying a word. The taller male blinked and looked over to Axel with a curious expression. Axel ignored his gaze…maybe he wouldn’t have to be so alone after all.
