The sky was dark gray but turning softer by the second as the sun slowly peaked up behind the swollen clouds.  From looks alone, it was going to be a blistering cold day however Myde couldn’t be any warmer if he tried.  Sitting on the couch watching large flakes of snow spiral down, nestled under a blanket with a steaming cup of cocoa in his hands.  He smiled and took a sip, dawn over the mountains…it was gorgeous.

“Myde…what are you doing awake,” a voice whispered from the doorway causing Myde to turn and look over.  Ienzo was rubbing wearily at his eyes in an attempt to wake up and Myde couldn’t help but crack a smile, he knew Ienzo wasn’t a morning person.

“Watching the sun come up.”

“…Myde…it’s cloudy how are you going to see the sun,” Ienzo asked, coming to his side anyways.  Without even asking if he could, he yanked the blanket open and snuggled in next to Myde causing the blonde to blush furiously, “You’re cute when you do that…even though we’ve been going out for…how long now…it’s too early to think.”

“Seven months,” Myde supplied for him, careful not to spill his cocoa.

Ienzo closed his eyes and nodded, “Right.  Seven.  You do realize the others are going to be dragging us off to go skiing or snowboarding or whatever today…I hope you got enough sleep.”

Myde chuckled, glancing at Ienzo’s half-awake form from the corner of his eye, “Uh-huh.  I’m not the one who can’t function without exactly eight hours of sleep.”  He looked back out at the snow falling, “Besides…if I waited to see the snow then it would be ruined by their constant talking.”  He paused and sipped his cocoa before going on, a sly smile on his face, “Come on you know all Ale does is bitch about how cold it is and we’ll be lucky if we can get Even to agree to go do something as “ridiculous” as snowboarding.”   Myde snorted back a laugh, “And don’t even get me started on how hyper Braig has been lately because we’re doing sports like this…he’s not going to be happy until he gets ANOTHER scar.”

“Stop talking.  You talk too much for it being so early,” Ienzo groaned, his head dropping onto Myde’s shoulder, “Sides…can’t enjoy the snow with you this way.”

“Okay, okay,” Myde said and felt Ienzo’s cold hands wrap around his over the mug, “Do you want some?”

“Yes.  Maybe it’ll wake me up.”
