It was Luxord’s best work if he did say so himself.  The silver chain dangled from his gloved hand as he examined it carefully.  To most it looked like a simple pocket watch, the silver metal gleaming in the light.  He flipped open the cover which had the Nobody symbol emblazed on it and an actual smile crossed his lips, etched into the face of the clock in deep black lines were thirteen roman numerals, the Nobody symbol faded behind them on the white face.  The number one was at the top (or, had it been any normal clock in the Noon position).  Unlike a normal clock that counted the numbers in a clockwise direction the numbers of this clock were set up much like the seats of the meeting room.  One was set between Two and Three followed by Four and Five on either side and continuing from there until you reached the number 13 at the very bottom.

He had actually finished it DAYS ago…but the task had been so drawing off his will and ability that he had passed out soon after and could only now give it to the Superior.  Luxord paused in his walk, glancing over his shoulder, he had thought he had felt a presence and frowned, he hoped he wasn’t being followed.  The Superior had given him explicit instructions that this little project was to remain between the two of them and no one else.  Luxord sighed, perhaps he was only being paranoid, after all he had been out of it for the past couple of days…he was just lucky the Superior had ordered none of the others to bother him (he was fairly sure threats of turning them into Dusks had been given).  Upon finally reaching Xemnas’s quarters, he gave a light knock and then entered the room, not realizing a ponytail had been inches above his head.

As soon as the door closed, Xigbar dropped down to the floor, quirking his head to the side and then grinning.  After all, everyone knew Luxord had been working on something big for Number One and as soon as Xigbar had heard, he had sworn to himself to find out exactly what that something was.  He moved forward, pressed his ear to the door, and listened:

“Truly marvelous work Number Ten.  I know you scarified a lot for this…but I feel it will be of great importance when our plans begin to truly move forward.”

“A little of my power is nothing in the long run.  It’ll all come back eventually.”  A chuckle, “Given time of course.”

“Yes.  Now please, Number Ten, explain to me how this works.”

Xigbar’s eyes widened as he heard Luxord explain the purpose of the pocket watch.  Apparently, Xemnas wasn’t as full of himself as everyone was beginning to think.  He listened closely, hardly daring to believe what he was hearing.  Xemnas had made this plan from the sounds of it, as soon as he had learned that Luxord could manipulate time itself, but Xigbar hadn’t realized Luxord could do THIS.  It seemed…impossible if anything.  The idea that Luxord could completely reset time if he so wanted.

Therefore, Luxord has made the watch and since the probability of Xemnas being the last member was extremely high, he would have to be the one to hold it. The numerals would turn red if one of them was…lost and the power of the watch was…that as soon as all the numerals were red then time would completely reset itself with all of them.  Back before any of this…before they even lost their hearts.

In essence, they would be completely reborn as whole people.

Xigbar was so shocked by this information that he didn’t realize until it was almost too late that the door was opening.  The sniper quickly flipped up to the ceiling and waited.  Luxord stepped out of the room, watch less, and started walking.  He stopped a few feet away and smirked to himself, “So, tell me Xigbar, how much did you hear exactly?”  The sound of feet hitting the floor was all Luxord needed to hear and he started walking again when suddenly Xigbar grabbed him and spun him around.

“Why are you doing this Luxord?  Why not just reset time NOW?”

Luxord blinked, looking at Xigbar.  Obviously, he hadn’t expected such a reaction, “Well…for starters I can’t do it now…the majority of my time manipulation abilities are in that watch I gave to Xemnas.  I don’t think I could even stop time for a split second at this point.  Secondly…resetting things now would put all that you have worked towards thus far to utter waste.  Would you really want that?”

Xigbar glared at him for a moment before sighing and letting him go, “I guess we should stick with Plan A before trying Plan B, huh?”

“Precisely,” Luxord replied with a nod.  His face then grew serious, “Now then…you can’t tell anyone what you have heard.  Your reaction was bad enough…if one of the other more…passionate members were to discover the plan things might get a tad messy.”

“Right-o.  My lips are sealed Luxord,” Xigbar replied, miming a zipper pulling across his lips.

The British gent smirked, nodding in approval, “Very good.  Thank you Xigbar.”  He moved to walk away then paused, turning to look over his shoulder at the other, “And in the next life…I promise to find you first.”

Xigbar rolled his eyes moving forwards to catch up with his companion, “Stop being such a sap.  Come on…I heard Xaldin snagged himself a new case of sake from the Land of Dragons.”
