Axel sauntered out of the kitchen and set the tray of cupcakes on the table. Riku, who had his feet propped up on said table, blinked in surprise at the treats before looking up at the red-head…Axel only baked for two reasons…birthdays and when he wanted sex, “Axel…why did you make cupcakes?”
The red head grinned, mischievously, “Why don’t you bite into one and find out Riku?”
Riku scowled, that grin wasn’t a good sign either. He opened his mouth to ask what Axel had put IN the cupcakes when Sora and Roxas walked in from outside, skateboards tucked under their arms before shutting the door behind them.
Sora spied the cupcakes first of course and leapt forward, “Oh man! Cupcakes!” His bright blue eyes flashed up to Axel who was still wearing his baking apron, “I can’t believe you made cupcakes!”
Axel’s grin broadened and Roxas immediately turned to Riku with a raised eyebrow as if to ask, ‘What’s up?’ Roxas knew about the sex and birthdays rule as well.
“Why don’t you have one Sora? There’s a special fortune inside,” Axel said in a near purr. Sora beamed and reached forward to grab a cupcake.
“Sora! No!” Riku shouted, reaching forward to stop him. It was too late though and Sora had already chomped down into the creamy frosting.
Riku and Roxas waited with baited breath as slowly Sora chewed on the cupcake. Suddenly a strange look crossed his face and he stuck his tongue out, a small square package resting on the tip of it. He reached up and peeled it off and looked at it, “What’s this?”
Riku’s mouth open and closed in sheer amazement at the object. He wasn’t sure whether to laugh or what, “Axel…please tell me…”
“…you didn’t…,” Roxas continued, not believing the thing that had just been in Sora’s mouth.
“Bake condoms into the cupcakes? Fuck yes I did,” Axel finished for them, grabbing Sora’s hand and pulling him to his chest. He winked at the other two, “And since Sora bit into the cupcake first he gets to move on to the real dessert. Ta!” Before either could protest, Axel was already dragging Sora off to the bedrooms.
Roxas and Riku exchanged glances before lunging forward and snagging cupcakes off the tray and running after the pair. There was no way they were letting Axel hog all the sweets.
