Dogs (plural)

Athena and I rescued a second dog last Sunday, a big German Shepherd named Havoc. Unfortunately, what started out as a 110 dollar dog has turned into a nearly 800 dollar dog with the complications he got from his neutering which we didn't realize had only been done two days prior to us taking him home. The vet is now trying to get us to do a 600- ( Read more... )

Have you called the rescue place to ask why they failed to ensure they were giving you a healthy animal?

They don't guarantee the health of the animals you adopt. He seemed perfectly healthy when we got him, the complications and bleeding didn't start until the following day. We're calling the shelter tomorrow after calling the other number.

That really sucks. They should've at least informed you that he'd just had surgery, and made sure you knew to call if there were complications.

DOGGY!

Although it is good that I am seeing them in pictures, as opposed to in person because I would probably be freaking out.

I am sorry you guys are having a rough patch though. :/ I got clawed in the jugular by one of our cats today so it looks like I have vampire fang marks, if that sounds at all humorous?

Achilles would join you in freaking out. LOL Havoc, so far, is quite a bit more reserved.

It'll get better, hopefully sooner than later, it's been pretty stressful this entire week. That sounds kind of painful actually. >_>;;; You can pretend you have a vamp kitty!

Which would cause me to freak out more which would mean that Achilles would freak out more and there would be lots of running in panic!circles.

It is a new week! That starts with Valentine's Day! The one day where you know somebody loves you, or at least that the next day you can get roses for super-cheap.

It is very tenderized. I was more impressed by the other cat nearly taking my eyes out and making my eyebrow bleed considerably. Unfortunately, I did not get a Conrad Weller-esque gangster scar on my face. :/ Bad. Ass.

^_^;;; It would be badass but painful to get in order for it to be badass. LOL Then there's always possible infections, randomly bleeding from the face for a week or so etc.

He is such a sweetie too. I just called the place and am just waiting for them to call back. We'll see what they can do.

He's still looking okay except for the scabs he keeps rubbing off with the edge of his cone.
