I'm no expert, but I suspect it's best to jump in and teach basic business English. This means that they can practice what you've taught them almost right away and get their confidence up/reap rewards. You can then expand with grammar etc. when/if needed.
Here are couple of links to business English to give you an idea of where to go:
Ohh, wow! Thank you so much, my dear! The link is very helpful! I will search some more from Google by business English. Last time I tried with a keyword 'English lesson' and it didn't give much help. :D
Thanks again, dear! I will start teaching tomorrow. Hope I can get some attention from these people! :)
Don't fret the grammar - it bores people to tears and will never make a lot of sense anyways. It can help to learn the progressive tenses of verbs (I was doing / am doing / will be doing) because it is very prevalent and you 'just' need to learn to conjugate "to be" and you can get speaking fast.
lol. That's what I thought too. I remember when I was a kid, I was sooo bored when it came to attending English grammar classes! I will do as you suggested and try to minimum the grammar as much as possible. I think that once you learn to speak correctly, grammar will come naturally. :)
I'm probably the least qualified person to give advice, but if it helps at all I know absolutely nothing about grammar (I might be able to tell you what a noun is, but that's it!) and it doesn't effect me at all... unless that should be affect, lol!
I hope the lessons go well! How are your horses? I saw somewhere that you did get a second one...
No worry, dear! Thank you so much for your advice! I decide not to go into grammar directly. I think they can learn it from text and when they understand the concept of sentence structure, hopefully grammar will come! :)
And yess, I've already got another horse. He arrived Thailand last month. He's definitely an eye-catcher and is a super mover. When people see me ride him, they will have to stop and look because his movements are big, unlike any other horses here. :D
Yes, Aslan is doing well! But I don't quite understand people here. When they know I'm getting another horse, many people ask me if I want to sell Aslan ( which is not going to happen in a million years ). Ha ha.
