I don't know "House of Leaves", but you really got me interested in reading it some day. This was beautiful. Unusual, but great. And sad.

Okay so I flailed at the sight of the blue in the title. Like, really hard.

This was amazing both ways - reading ignoring the red struck-out and then including it.

This line

She pants heavy against the center of his chest, doesn’t think, almost hopefully, about what happens to pregnant women on this Island, in this place

was like a punch in the gut, the idea that Juliet could be looking for an out any means possible, even if that meant her death. Owies.
