I'm glad you posted this, I really liked it. Especially: and he could see the stretch of her shoulders like milk against the dark, the fray, the world. But basically any way you described Pepper was amazing and so visual.

Oh, wow. This is gorgeous. I love how atmospheric it is -- the fragmented stream-of-consciousness really works in this setting, after disaster hit.
