TRU FAX: I was just scrolling down my friends list, and I was like, "holy shit! someone wrote Chapel/Uhura, that's fucking AWESOME" ... then then I noticed that it was for meeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

And oh, I love your sense of detail and how you build up the UST. I adore some good pining!

This is a lovely bit of line:
and watches, fascinated for the first time in years at her craft, as open wounds turn red, soften to white and then dissolve, her breath catching uncomfortably in the hollow of her throat

The section on little things & Robert was my favorite part. I want to quote all of it. Just lovely, lovely, lovely.

oh, and this moment is also gorgeous, and seems so totally in character for Chapel in love: Christine’s just finishing her shift when the distinct click of boots echoes through medbay - and damn it all if the sharp tap of those regulation heels isn’t different with her, isn’t the quick rasp of a breath as everything goes warm and hazy. Christine closes her eyes for a single moment against the black of the stars, behind the ( ... )

Thank you very much! I'm not sure I can adequately convey how thrilled I am that this was what you were looking for, because I was damn pretty sure I'd missed the mark with it, to be honest, having never really written either character before, and certainly not together. But yes - I'm so pleased you enjoyed it :)

I haven't read a lot of Trek femslash in ages. But I just had to read this when I saw it. And I'm so glad that I did!

Your attention to detail in Chapel's thoughts, senses and emotion is what makes the buildup to the kiss so perfect. Little things indeed.

Well done!

I'd never read or written Trek femslash before this, so you're ahead of me there! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this - I was rather apprehensive about whether or not it worked, so to see that you felt it was a worthwhile read makes me very, very happy :) Thank you!

Well, for a first try at Trek femslash you did remarkably well. I've read fanfic for years, but only recently attempted writing myself, so I know how it feels to try something new.

Again, well done. :)

That was all so palpable, the love and desire, intimacy and longing. Palpable, and beautiful, and absolutely impressively written.

Oh, fabulous. One typo-- you have "breaks" on a train instead of brakes.

Bravo for this.

Thank you, so very much; I'm beyond thrilled that this piece worked for you - I was extremely hesitant about it. And thank you for pointing out the typo! I always miss something, it seems...

Femslash is hard, and there isn't as much of it in this fandom as their could/should be. I find myself having not been a fan of TOS Chapel and therefore unimaginative about her in this new 'verse, even as I'm delighted by some of the Chapels people are writing-- including this one of yours.

I'm so glad you wrote this!

Oh, I very much second that first bit - this foray into femslash was one of the most challenging things I've written in a very long time, particularly seeing as I'm not much of a Chapel fan, either; I'm just glad it worked for you, in the end. Again, thanks so much :D

This is fucking gorgeous.

Your writing, and the physical precision, and the, I don't even know what the word is, the inertia of it, the quiet immaculate weight, I am seduced. omnomnomnom.
