Oh my God. Oh my God, wow.

You've won me. I've read a lot of fiction. A LOT. This is now my favourite piece.

Everything about it works. Locke's confidence, faith, the sudden realization that he has made a big mistake, and will have to pay the price. Ben's cool, calculating nature, his infinite plans. Richard, doing what has to be done but not enjoying it. And the sex? Yes, that was fabulous too. All the tiny imperfections of their experience, the lines that made me cover my mouth or laugh or say "OMG" out loud. Richard and Ben's relationship was immaculate, very realistic. Alex, bringing John back. This is absolutely amazing! I love it, I'm going to rec it from my journal asap. Seriously, beautiful. You are a brilliant writer.

You are far too kind, really - thank you so, so much. I can't possibly tell you how thrilled I am that you enjoyed this - I was a bit unsure whether it all worked together in the end, made sense without the pre-conceived idea that was in my head, you know? Whether or not that came across right. But the fact that you felt it all fit and interacted satisfactorily, particularly the Ben/Richard relationship - which is something that, in my mind, I've been mulling over for some time, and am so incredibly pleased that it came out in words the right way; as well as the end bit with Alex - that was a last minute idea that I tacked on, so I'm glad it seemed to work with everything else. Anyway - really and truly, thank you ever so much :)

Well...um, I'm kinda in shock right now because that was like, really hot and sad all at the same time! I never had thought that Ben could be Jacob before. ;]

Thank you! Early on, I kind of wondered whether Jacob was real, or just an instrument of control employed by the "leaders" - and while I was much less convinced of the canonicity of such an idea by the time I wrote this, I did think the pre-finale situation seemed relevant to it. So I'm glad it worked for you, and I'm also quite glad that the "hot" factor was satisfactory - I haven't tried my hand at it in a long while, so I'm glad it was still okay :D

Alas ;) I had seen the cast list online, so I figured as much... but the thing is that I didn't expect to like him. And I did. A lot. *considers Jacob-fic... wonders if it could even work...*

So here I was, reading your Star Trek fic. I was reading the last one you posted, and then I wanted more. So I clicked "previous" and found MORE Star Trek fic. I clicked again, and found this.

I have watched Lost since the show started, and for some reason, I never read any fic from it. I read for anything and everything else, but never this.

I seriously feel like I missed out on something amazing. I'm working my way through your past entries now, because wow.

I am amazed at how much you can say with so little, and how visual this is.

Thank you ever so much; I'm both humbled and flattered that you felt compelled to look through some of my other writing as a result of my Trek fic :) And welcome to the wonderful fandom of LOST; I assure you, it's definitely worth your time ;)

This is just absolutely beautiful! You do such a wonderful job at crafting a world with your words -- it makes everything so much easier to not only see, but to hear, and to feel. It's such a clever idea, and I love the drive of it, the push this story takes, that last bit of tenderness between Ben and Richard at the end. Lovely. Completely lovely.

Thank you ever so much; I am utterly thrilled that the sensory element of this came across for you, specifically, and that the tenderness underlying the Ben/Richard dynamic was there, as well (I have a soft spot for those two ;) ).
